Antar Laniyan is one of the pillars in Nollywood, especially in the Yoruba Movie Industry. He became a professional between 1979 and 1980 when he started the Kakaki Art Corps.
Antar Laniyan attended the Lagos Baptist Secondary School and holds a degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Ibadan. He has won many awards which includes the best Director Award in Nigeria film Corporation and the Life Achievement in England in 2003. He feature in a first movie titled "Mojere" in 1993 and produced his first movie also in 1993. Presently he is the director of the award winning soap opera "Super Story" and "This Life", both from the Wale Adenuga production's stable. He is married and has two sons he prefers to call Soldiers.
